BIG GAMES: Shepherd College, Episode 2

Our '65 brothers went down to West Virginia and earned a hard-fought victory.
All I remember is that the SOB of a linebacker across from me had real soccer shin guards (honest to God) taped to both of his forearms and he really knew how use them. He gave me a shot in the head on every play that had my ears ringing the entire game and for the entire bus ride back. I had a major concussion with halos around every light that I looked at and a Migraine headache that would have killed a horse. I couldn't stop throwing up and gobbled an entire bottle of aspirin out of the first aid kit which didn't even touch the headache. I honestly thought I was going to buy the farm for awhile. The other thing I remember was that the playing field was full of holes all over the place. Thank God we won because it was a nightmare of an experience.
