A handful of Gray Eagle feats remain in the program's all-time records list.
During the 1971 Grove City game, Len Jankiewicz set the record for longest punt in Brockport football history. It covered almost the entire length of the field and came to rest 73 yards from its point of origin. Further, his four punts that afternoon averaged 50.7 yards in length. An account of the game reported that Jank's first half punts kept Grove City bottled up in their end when we weren't moving the ball well. We came on in the second half and won the game 27-7. After the game, Coach Dave Hutter said that Lenny 'could be pro material.'
Len's record stood for 26 years until 1995.
More to come....
